Huvudmålet är att tillhandahålla en konceptuell och teoretisk grund som sedan kan fungera som referensram i de kommande kurserna. Under kursen får studenterna en bred förståelse av fältets betydelse och utveckling och får kännedom om de viktigaste internationella och nationella organisationerna och standardiseringsorganen inom fältet. Under kursen introduceras också kriterier för hur man kritiskt bedömer en skriftlig rapport. This course introduces the field of information security and the most important concepts, models and perspectives within this field. The main goal is to provide a conceptual and theoretical foundation within the field of information security which can then serve as a reference frame in the coming courses. During the course the students also gain a broad understanding of the field its importance and its development and learn about the most important international and national organisations and standardisation bodies within the field. Criteria for how to critically assess a written report are also introduced during this course.
