<string lang="swe">Kursen introducerar informationssäkerhetsområdet samt de viktigaste begreppen, modeller och perspektiv inom detta område. Huvudmålet är att tillhandahålla en konceptuell och teoretisk grund som sedan kan fungera som referensram i de kommande kurserna. Under kursen får studenterna en bred förståelse av fältets betydelse och utveckling och får kännedom om de viktigaste internationella och nationella organisationerna och standardiseringsorganen inom fältet. Under kursen introduceras också kriterier för hur man kritiskt bedömer en skriftlig rapport.</string>
<string lang="eng">This course focuses on basic concepts of securing digital information present in computer systems and networks. The modern world relies on information and its flows and protecting that information is essential for the stakeholders. Information security is achieved through securing assets of a computer system including its hardware, software, data, and processes. In this course, we will look into such topics relevant to information security including i) common security vulnerabilities in computer systems, ii) security of platforms e.g. operating systems, Web, and databases, iii) techniques for cryptography, iv) intrusion detection and protection in computer networks, v) physical security, and vi) techniques for secure system development. After completing the course the students will be able to analyze computer systems and networks from an information security perspective and suggest and apply appropriate countermeasures</string>

Alternativt Företagsekonomi, grundkurs, 30 hp och Företagsekonomi, fortsättningskurs, 30 hp samt 15 hp på kandidatnivå i företagsekonomi eller 30 hp i datateknik på G1N-nivå och 45 hp i datateknik på G1F-nivå. Dessutom krävs Engelska 6/Engelska B.</string>
