<string lang="eng">The course covers the biology of infectious microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, fungi and protozoans, as well as how they cause disease. Environmental factors that contribute to the emergence and spread of infectious diseases will be addressed. In addition, students will be introduced to current diagnostic methods and treatment strategies, as well as their limitations.</string>
