Vidare berörs toxiska ämnens transport, transformation, fördelning och ackumulering i miljön. Globala och regionala kemikalieproblem och åtgärder med koppling till miljögifter och riskbedömning tas upp. Dessutom ingår ett laborativt moment med bioanalytiska studier av persistenta organiska miljögifter i miljöprover.</string>
<string lang="eng">The course gives an overview of toxicological principles with emphasis on effects by persistent organic pollutants on the molecular level up to organism level. In addition, transport, transformation, distribution and accumulation of toxic compounds are reviewed. Global and regional problems with chemicals and risk assessment of environmental pollutants are presented. Further the course contains a laboratory part with studies of persistent organic pollutants in environmental matrices using bioanalytical methods.</string>
