Fokus i kursen är förståelse för: - SCM och logistik i SC - Transporter och transportsätt - Order och lagerstyrning - Finansiell analys av SC - Miljöproblematiken i SC - Informationsflöden och informationsteknologi. Den inverkan som leveransstörningar, lagerplanering, placering av lager, ruttplanering och transportsätt har på transporter och distribution behandlas på kursen. Övrigt:Kursen är innehållsmässigt överlappande med kursen Logistik A, Transport and Physical Distribution, 7,5 högskolepoäng och dessa två kurser kan ej användas tillsammans i en examen. The goal for the course is to give basic understanding of Logistics in the Supply Chain (SC). Focus in the course is applied in: - SCM and Logistics in the SC. - Transport and transport modes - Order and inventory management - Financial analysis of the SC - Sustainability in the SC - Managing Information flows and technology . Issues concerning delivery postponement, warehouse planning and location, selection of marketing channels, freight routing and transport mode selections in ways that affect transport and physical distribution will also be discussed. Assessment:Written examination and report/presentation and opposition of report, and active participation in seminars. This course cannot be combined in a degree with Logistics, Transport and Physical Distribution, Basic Course 7,5 Credits.
